Overview

Ferndale Pride is a large event that brings together and celebrates gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and ally communities. 2018 was the largest event to date and was the first year that had international coverage. I was asked to be the volunteer designer for the event which involved creating a full branding and numerous print, social media, and swag materials.

Print Materials

Large banners used for the main entrance and music stages, a guide that housed all event information, a poster with all sponsor logos, volunteer name badges, window clings, magazine ads, and palm cards with volunteer dates were all necessary for this event. Each piece needed to be managed and completed based upon their own timelines to help promote the event.

Full Branding

The event required full branding that represented the sense of community within the city of Ferndale. Instead of incorporating a traditional rainbow palette, I used gradients to showcase all members of the community. The logo is a combination of the letter “F” and the infinity symbol to embody the overall theme of unity.
